So many things to do..

Its been 2/12 months already since my last blog update, yup, quite busy after the New Year's revelry for 2012. But nevertheless, quite a shaky ride with my gunpla addiction.

First stuff, HG Trans-am Susanowo. I really find this kit so cool, makes me feel the power that emanates during its trans-am form. The marbling effect on the color theme itself is quite alluring.

Too cool to ignore so i grab one for keeps..

 With the overwhelming appreciation of my first trans-am kit (Susanowo), i bend to target all trans-am unit and collect them. As i visit GTO Greenhills, i haven't found one so i opt to take home the Geara Zulu Guards type. I love how cool the MS looks.

 After quite a few weeks, the anticipated Full Armor Unicorn has finally arrived.

 First off, i assembled the Jaber base for size comparison against the RFA's TA weapon.

 And then followed suit by the UFA's backpack, test fitted on my Unicorn OVA.

Just one pair of gattling gun takes at least a day or two for me to complete.. imagine assembling 2 more pairs (total of 3 pairs for UFA)..

 I also found this guy addicted to gunpla, so i decided to keep one for myself..

 Been trying to keep at pace with the UFA wip, now here's the partially completed backpack using the Unicorn OVA's shield.

Jaber, Gattling guns, 2 Bazookas and the backpack for UFA, quite time consuming..

 And as advertised, Keroro's head can be used to a variety of gunpla model,  this kit includes a connector to fit on these scales (HG/MG/SD/RG)

 The glorified UFA is quite bulky, it is also quite repetitive on the build task (6 gattling guns / 3 shields / 2 bazookas), i thought it would never end..

 One trick for the chrome finish is to use the Magic powder as recommended by fellow GM - Kuya Doyzilla. Thanks Mykel for accomodating your time to fetch this one at GTO. ^^

 Just found out (accidentally) that the excess powder on the cotton bud can still be use for weathering effect.

 My Geara Zulu's wip is in parallel with my elder brother's wip for his Macross 1/72 kit.

2011 kit recap

2011 bids farewell. Glad to meet 2012 for more exciting Gunpla ethusiasm. I started the flame with Gunpura (now known as Gunpla - Gundam Plastic model kit) last August 2011. As far as i can remember, it was love at 1st sight when i got hold of an MG RX-0 Unicorn from a colleague at work.

That time, i was anticipating building one for myself. So i tried hunting for one and  skipped malls. Later on, thru internet browsing and online search, i met ZeroFour Gundam, one of the few trusted Gunpla seller in Manila. But since its a pre-ordered thingy, it will take 2-3 weeks for the delivery of the kit.

And so, i opted to Greenhills and found "GreatToys Online". Unfortunately, there's no stock for RX-0 and due to the urge of building one, i opted for an MG Red Frame Astray 30th Anniversary edition. Yes, i have the clear parts with it and was so lucky to get hold of one.

Unluckily, RX-0 didnt make it on the next few months but, on my birthday, it finally showed up.

December 2011 Hauls..

December is here again.. Christmas time for everybody.. kids and hobbyist alike.. hunting and looking for new hauls in time with the Holiday spirit.

Spending some Christmas revelry with friends and from the workplace.. December is quite one of the busiest month of the year. Its also the worst day for shopping on Holiday's rush.

Without further ado, lets walk down the memory aisle as i have been busy working, finishing backlogs and collecting new hauls this time of year.
  

Hauls: SD Wing, Pink Bearguy, RG Freedom (from Zerofour Gundam)

Completed my Tamiya Polishing Compound set, thanks again  Zerofour (highy appreciated man!!)

Twas so hard to find a 1/144 Wet transfer decal, this one is from Toys R' Us, Galleria. By the way, most of this stuff (decal and action base) are well hidden and undisplayed intentionally. So if you're looking for this one, you can simply ask those person who are in charge of the Gundam section. It goes the same with SM Toy kingdom, Megamall.

 Jagd Doga Quess / Gyunei - both came from Ninong Toys.

How sweet it is that i have won this Pink Bearguy from our 1st Gunpla Meister Christmas party.. 

This will be my 1st RG. Quite awesome in terms of detail and gimmickry. I might say that it is really a mixture of an MG / PG kit in a HG scale. 2 thumbs up on this one.

Sandpaper cloth, i haven't use this yet, so a review might pop out on my succeeding WIP.

SD Wing from Mykel (GM Admin) - addition to my 2 SD kit. Well, this is where my learning and experience comes in, testing different techniques in everything gunpla related stuff (seamline removal, painting, etc)

And lastly, paints from Lil's, Megamall (Tamiya Spray can) and ACE Hardware, Megamall (Bosny Spray Can).

Oh, i almost forgot.. Tieren Space Commander from Great Toys Online, Greenhills.

Tis the season to be jolly.. ^^

Special Day: 11-20-11 RX-0 Unicorn

11-19-11.. i started unpacking Unicorn and cleanup all sprues/runner, soaked in warm water and soap to remove the oil used from the manufacturing process.

Then hang-up to dry outside on a cool afternoon breeze.

One fine, normal afternoon which is best suited for spray painting.. but that's another story.

This time though, i followed the instruction manual faithfully..

Chest part done, nice and slow, clean of nubs..

Quite a trick here, pinkish projection and a clean mug shot on the other..

Arms ready.. skirts on the way..

Skirts done.. now, don't get too excited guys..  Legs are the most troublesome, an epic in terms of pieces.

Size comparison with RF.. quite much taller, unexpected for me..

Size comparison with Sinanju.. cute lil beasts.. now that's what you call, "Large, medium, small.."

Psychoframe activated.. now its even with the Sinanju in terms of height and prowess.. RF seems to be tight-lipped (and searching for his BFS.. ^^)
